Welcome!

The Narragansett Skiff Foundation is the organizing body of the US East Coast's International Fourteen fleet. Additionally, we promote and encourage any and all high performance dinghy sailing on Narragansett Bay and in the northeast United States in general.

We define "high performance" sailing as being able to sail at close to wind speed upwind (for example, 9 knots of upwind boatspeed in an 11 knot breeze), and being able to easily exceed windspeed downwind.

Our first undertaking as an official organization was to host the 2008 I-14 North American Championships. The event was deemed a success by all, and we are now looking into future regattas

If you'd like to know what it feels like to sail faster than the wind, please contact us! We'd love to take you for a ride - and if you aren't sure yet of your abilities in such a high-powered skiff as an I-14, we can help you get your feet wet with a ride in a Vector, 29er, or Laser 2 (note that in an I-14, it is very unlikely that only your feet will get wet...).
